| Each of our oils is supplied
with a comprehensive physical and chemical analysis. Australessence® certification guarantees the source of the produce and
enables audit trailing procedures in the U.S.A. and in E.C. countries, to conform with
I.S.O. and E.U. standards requirements.
To ensure the purity of the product, nitrogen-sealed
packaging in a range of sizes and materials is used from 1 to 5 litre aluminium
flasks, to 60 or 205 litre epon-lined steel drums, to 60 or 205 litre stainless steel

- Our Range of
- Australian Essential Oils
 |
1. Callitris intratropica (Australian Blue Cypress) The jewel in our Australian essential oils
crown. This wood oil contains guaiol, guaienes selinenes, guaiazulene, eudesmols and
furanones. It is at present registered as a cosmetic excipient for fragrancing, although
we have good reasons to believe that it has significant therapeutic potential as an
antiphlogistic and antiviral. It is an excellent fixative and base note in perfumery
applications, and adds a subtle woody note to fragrances.
Availability: We are matching anticipated demand with our available production
capacity. The monsoon
season from November to April restricts production, but good stocks are held.

2. Backhousia citriodora: (Lemon Myrtle
Oil) Well-known in
Australian cuisine circles for its fine rounded lemon notes, reminiscent of the genuine Melissa
oils which are so rarely found. A superb oil, now under plantation cultivation, as it is a
relatively uncommon semi-rainforest dweller in its natural state. A fine oil in its own
right, and an excellent oil for blending with other native Australian essential oils to
give them an exquisite "lift".
Availability: Restricted
in quantity until more plantations come on line.

- 3. Eucalyptus radiata (Australian
Eucalyptus radiata)
- Generally regarded as the finest of the therapeutic cineole-type Eucalyptus oils,
and can safely be used as-distilled, in its natural state. Many other Eucalyptus
oils are re-distilled to bring them to an acceptable standard. This oil is characterised
by its crisp, clean cineole aroma lifted by citrus/floral backnotes.

4.
Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree
Oil)
Our message is simple.
We present a single-distilled oil of spicy character, with the attributes of a fine
chemical: very consistent physical and chemical characteristics from batch to batch. We do
not oxygenate or irradiate the oil as is sometimes done. There is no need: the aroma and
physical characteristics are as nature intended, and careful distillation and processing
maintains these qualities. We sell in different categories, which we believe are
well-matched to the broad range of uses to which Tea Tree Oil is put, and these categories
are very competitively priced.
Availability: Year-round, in large
quantities, in all categories.

5.
Melablend** ("Soft-Scent Tea Tree Oil) One of our
newest and most promising additions to our range. The aroma of pure Tea Tree Oil is
transformed by the inclusion of Nerolina, giving the blend a pleasant lilac/floral
overtone, which many people tell us they prefer. In addition, testing is at present being
conducted to investigate the apparent improvement of the Melaleuca Softscent over 100% Oil
of Melaleuca alternifolia against gram negative bacteria and other organisms.
Melaleuca Softscent is produced from selected Premium or Standard category Tea Tree Oil,
with the addition of the specific Melaleuca chemotype.
Availability: All year round, in quantities up to 500 kgs per shipment |

6. Melaleuca
ericifolia (Lavender Tea Tree, or Australian Rosalina Oil) One
of the most fragrant of the Melaleuca oils; very variable in analysis from
different locations. Again, it took a great deal of time to identify areas which could be
sustainably harvested, and which give a good balance of aromatic components to achieve a
pleasant camphoraceous/floral aroma, with rosy backnotes.
Availability: Limited, harvested between May and October; please allow 4 weeks
for delivery.

7. Melaleuca
quinquenervia - chemotype C (Niaouli) Niaouli has been sourced
from various countries for a number of years, with many importers complaining of wide
variations in quality. In our opinion, most of the problems arise because of the
incredible variation in chemical constituent ratios in the oils from different provenances
of the various species of Melaleuca, and indeed all Myrtaceæ species. After
some years of investigation, we have secured a reliable supply of Niaouli here in
Australia, which has a particularly clean and fruity aroma, and consistent analysis.
Availability: Year-round.

8. Melaleuca
quinquenervia - chemotype LN (Australian Nerolina Oil) This
particular chemotype has around 50/50 linalool and nerolidol, giving an oil with very
distinctive lavender and lilac notes. While this oil can be highly variable in analysis,
we have expended a great deal of time and effort to ensure a reliable supply of consistent
character.
Availability: Limited through the cooler months, June to
October. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery in these months.
