ESSENCE OF AUSTRALIA

Tea Tree Oil - Melaleuca alternifolia

Our message is simple. We present a single-distilled oil of spicy character, with the attributes of a Fine Chemical: very consistent physical and chemical characteristics from batch to batch. We do not oxygenate or irradiate the oil as some others do, there is no need: the aroma and physical characteristics are as nature intended, and careful distillation and processing maintains these qualities. We sell Tea Tree Oil in different categories, which we believe are well-matched to the broad range of uses for which Tea Tree oil is used, and these categories are very competitively priced.

The categories are assigned in two ways:

A. Cineole / Terpinen-4-ol Concentrations

i) Pharmaceutical - 3% or less 1,8cineole; 37% or more terpinen-4-ol

ii) Cosmetic - 5% or less 1,8cineole; 35% or more terpinen-4-ol

iii) Technical - 10% or less 1,8cineole; 30% or more terpinen-4-ol

B. Plant Growth Regime

i) Organic "A" - grown under Australian Certified Organic growing regimes as laid down by OPAC (Organic Produce Advisory Committee) and administered by AQIS (Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service). The Australian Essential Oil Company is a Certified "A" OrganicProcessor of essential oils, Certification Number P237, issued by Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA).

ii) Eco-Harvest™. The Trade Mark is owned by the Australian Essential Oil Company, and is used to accurately describeTea Tree which has been grown, harvested, and distilled under:

a) Organic regimes, not yet certified, or

b) Ecologically sound management of natural stands on privately owned land, or
